Q] Do you think "teaching English Through English" is necessary in public school english class? Give us your opinion and supporting reasons.Yes. We think it is necessary to teach English through English.It is often said that the best way to learn English is to go to the US or Great Britain where we can hear people use the language. Unfortunately, however, the majority of our students do not have the chance to go there. And we thought that when we teach English through English we could get similar effect like going abroad.
1. The main purpose of learning a language is to learn to communicate in that language. And nowadays most of the country there are a lot of foreign company. So we have to develop real English level. And t.e.t.e would help student’s ability to adapt in the real English environment.
2. Nowadays, a lot of students depend their English ability to private academy. But when we teach english through English in public school, the cost of private education will be cut down.


Q] Which English teachers do you think is better for our students, native speakers of English, or Korean English teachers? Why? we think korean english teachers are better than native speakers.
1. Korean students have thinking structure of Korean. So it is effective to learn English from same thinking structured teacher.
2. If we just prefer native speaker. There could be under qualiticatied native and on the contrary they will disturb students study of English.


Q] How do you think will our English class be changed in the future? How do you ( as 사범대생) prepare for future English education in Korea? We will have two types of englsh class. One would be native speaker's class. This class's assigned time would be increased than now. And in this class students will learn simple conversations in the class.The other is Korean English teacher's class.This teacher should have good English ability. And they have to teach the students how to study English as Korean.And as a 사범대생, we have to prepare for future English education.And we have to prepare not only partial part of reading, listening and writing but also the ability of conversation.
